Las distribuciones de GNU/Linux actuales ofrecen algunas técnicas de mitigación para hacer más difícil la explotación de posibles vulnerabilidades encontradas. La herramienta "//checksec.sh//" permite listar qué medidas ha implementado un determinado binario, sus librerías y procesos.
